Manchester’s Specialist Service for Complex Fractures, Limb Deformity and Infection at Manchester Royal Infirmary

Manchester’s many hospitals are served by numerous reputable Orthopaedic Departments who deal with the majority of orthopaedic problems and fractures.

However, some orthopaedic problems require a different approach, and, often, different methods of surgery that are not available in district and general hospitals. This is provided by a Limb Reconstruction service.

Limb Reconstruction Surgery is a field within Orthopaedics that focusses on the complications of fractures – such as when bones dont heal or if they heal up at an abnormal angle – as well as naturally occurring deformities, and bone infections.

Manchester Royal Infirmary provides a specialist service in Manchester to deal with these frequently difficult problems, with a team of surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychologists.
